Corfiots do not have many status symbols, a huge car, an expensive watch, expensive clothing - who ever buys something like this, only is told of wasting his money for toys that won´t last long. But ground is something different: A property always has value.

In other countries most of the properties are sold by real estate agents, properties are trading goods. The price of ground is - like the price of a building for sale - related to three factors: location, location, location.

There is no general pricelist, every land-owner can fix his own price. Also there is no special building land, except in the town planning. Only one rule was true during the last years: Prices climbed higher and higher. What today seems to be expensive, might look next year to be a bargain. Make sure the ground fits your needs and talk to people living close, in particular the climate can vary quite strongly within a short distance.
